Japan x Reader - Surprise underneath Blossoms

It’s been 4 years, 4 years since you and Kiku started dating. You were so happy and couldn’t deny it. You and Kiku would have an ‘eye for an eye a tooth for a tooth’ relationship, He has your back and you have his and you couldn’t be happier.

But today he is acting a bit odd, he seems to be in thought and awfully quiet than the usual quiet.
You just saved your game of pokemon and shut your DS, you noticed that his own DS is untouched and that’s rare. Back to topic. You have decided to talk to him

“Kiku? Are you alright? You seem awfully quiet today…”
“Ah (name) I’m rearry sorry to worry you, arigatou gouzaimasu, I’m just thinking”
“About what?” you asked with a hint of worry

He noticed this and said “Don’t worry (name), I’rr terr you soon enough” and smiled. “I have to go somewhere, I’rr be back soon” He left soon after he kissed your forehead.

After he left, you plopped down on the couch and decided to call your best friend Feliciano.

“Hey feli!”
“Ciao bella! What-a made you call?”
“W-well I was just wondering i-if you know what Kiku’s up to today”
“Hmmm, I don’t-a really know much (name), is something wrong”
“Oh nothing’s wrong! Just wondering that all” you said that giggling

After that you and feli just had a nice talk about pasta and random dishes both of you can think of and finally you said

“I had a great time talking to you feli, but I’m getting a bit tired now”
“Ah! No problem bella! Go take you siesta, Ciao!”
“Bye!”
You hung up and tossed your phone to the other side of the couch, you lay down and fell into a deep slumber

You were woken by a sudden peck on your lips. You snap your eyes open and saw a smiling kiku.

“(Name) I have a surprise for you, come with me, quick!” he said a bit excitedly and tugged on your arm
“Alright! Alright!” you replied giggling

We ran to the back of the house where his land of Cherry blossoms bloom.
Well actually his whole land where his mansion is filled with Cherry blossoms.

The breeze flowed and sent chills to both you and kiku.

“Now there is a special item hidden around the cherry brossoms, ru have to find that item in about 30 minutes, I’rr forrow” He said with a slight smirk

“Can you atleast give me a hint, pweeeassse” you said with cute puppy eyes

“Okay” he laughed his rare laugh and said “It’s within the black rope”

“Hm?” You looked to your side and saw a black rope ties to some of the trees and connects to the railings of the back porch.  

You smiled and said “Game on!” you ran to the field and began your search.
You looked in different directions, north, south, east and west and with no luck, Kiku was just following your trail with a smile on his face that it seems he is mocking your search, Anyway you looked at your necklace watch and it seems that you wasted 20 minutes. Deciding that you want to give up, you sat down and in that moment you felt something hit your butt.

“Huh?” You kneeled from your position and brushed away the petals that were hiding that special item. You picked up the object and examined it.

Kiku who was right behind you grabbed it and kissed you.
“You found it, good job”

The breeze once again came and started blowing away the blossoms from its holder which added a beautiful background.

You smiled at the scenery and looked back at kiku who is now kneeling on one knee. Your eyes widen as he spoke. ‘Is he doing what I think he’s doing?’ you thought.

“(Name) when I first met you, It’s rike rove at first sight and you have inspired me to do some hardwork with a preasant attitude, your smire is perfect and your beauty is absorutery gorgeous, so it would be an honor……..Will you marry me?”

He opened the special item which contains a beautiful diamond ring.
Your eyes were brought to tears of joy and glomped him.

“HAI HAI HAI!!” You said in his native tongue
He slipped the ring to your finger and kissed you

“Watashi wa anata aishite”
“Watashi mo anata o aishite”
